Terms of Service
Last updated October 20, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MotoMap at motomap.events, its installable app and its Discord app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What MotoMap is
MotoMap is a place for motorcycle riders to find, host and RSVP to meets, group rides and other events, and to share a rider profile and garage. Meets are created and run by members, not by MotoMap. We don't organize, supervise, inspect or endorse any meet, route, venue, host or rider.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that's older, to create an account. The Service is offered in North America only.
3. Your account
- You sign in with a Google or Discord account. You're responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything done through your MotoMap account.
- Give accurate information and don't impersonate anyone or create accounts to get around a ban or a limit.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.
4. Riding safety and assumption of risk
Motorcycling is dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. When you attend or host a meet or ride you found through the Service, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk. You're solely responsible for:
- your own safety, riding ability, protective gear and the condition of your motorcycle;
- having a valid license, registration and insurance as required by law;
- obeying all traffic laws and posted rules, and never riding impaired;
- deciding whether a meet, route, location or group is right for you.
Hosts are responsible for their meets, including getting any permits or permission needed for the location, and for the accuracy of what they post. Meet details, times and locations can be wrong or change, and meets can be cancelled.
5. Your content
"Your content" means anything you post: your profile, photos, bikes, meets, flyers, descriptions and messages to riders. You keep ownership of it. You give MotoMap a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, resize, display and distribute it in order to run, show and promote the Service, including in link previews and notifications. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or where we must keep them by law.
You confirm you have the rights to everything you post, including permission from anyone recognizable in your photos.
6. Rules of conduct
You agree not to:
- post anything illegal, harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit or violent, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- promote or organize illegal activity, including street racing, stunting on public roads, speed contests or evading police;
- post fake, misleading or spam meets, or use meets or host messages to advertise unrelated products or services;
- share someone's private information without their permission;
- scrape, overload, probe or interfere with the Service, or get around its rate limits, security or bans;
- upload malware or any file meant to harm the Service or its users.
7. Messages and notifications
If you link Discord and install the MotoMap Discord app, we'll send you direct messages about meets you RSVP to, such as reminders, cancellations, changes and messages from the host. Hosts may only use the message feature for information about their meet. You can stop these messages by changing your meet notification settings, removing your RSVP, or uninstalling the MotoMap Discord app.
8. Moderation and termination
We may remove content, cancel or hide meets, limit features or suspend or ban accounts at our discretion, including for breaking these Terms or to protect riders or the Service. You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can permanently delete your account from your profile page. Sections 4, 5 (for content already shared), 9, 10, 11 and 12 survive termination.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on and links to services we don't control, such as Google (including Google Maps), Discord, calendar apps and riders' social media. Your use of them is covered by their own terms, including the Google Maps Terms of Service for the maps and address search, and we aren't responsible for them.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that maps, addresses or meet information are accurate, or that notifications will be delivered. We aren't responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the Service.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MotoMap and the people who run it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss of data or profits, arising out of or related to the Service, any meet or ride, or any interaction with other users, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to $100 USD. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless MotoMap and the people who run it from any claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your meets, your riding or your breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and MotoMap consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know through the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
